Operation Artemis kicked off in Stockton this morning with a briefing to officers and staff from District Commander Superintendent John Wrintmore and Chief Inspector Dan Heron at Stockton Riverside College.
Operational activity will take place throughout the day.

A 52-year-old man has been arrested on Skinner Street in connection with drugs offences after suspected class A and B drugs were seized.
The man has been taken into custody.

Officers will remain in the Wellington Square area of Stockton throughout the day as they welcome members of the community to speak with them.

A man wanted in connection with an assault on a police officer has been arrested in Stockton town centre as Operation Artemis continues.
The 24-year-old man was also found in possession of a bladed article and was also arrested in connection with this.
Separately, a 45-year-old woman has also been arrested after being wanted in connection with a report of ABH.
Officers are carrying out patrols this afternoon in areas of Stockton which are hotspots for this kind of antisocial activity.
Police with drones will be on the look-out for off-road bikes and quads, to clamp down on the illegal use of off-road bikes.

In Billingham, officers served two section 59 notices to a male for reported nuisance caused by riding the below bike (pictured) in the area.
The bike was reported stolen and has now been seized. It is also believed to have been potentially used in criminal activity.
