Operation Artemis kicked off in Redcar and Cleveland this morning with a briefing to officers and staff from Chief Constable Mark Webster and District Commander Superintendent Emily Harrison at the Learning Development Centre (LDC) in Grangetown.
Two people were arrested by officers following an early-morning drugs warrant earlier today (24th September) on Dawlish Green in Easterside.
A 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs and a 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
They both remain in police custody.
A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class C drugs following a warrant on Kirkwood Drive in Redcar.
Officers arrested a 24-year-old man on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs following a warrant on Thrush Road. He currently remains in police custody.
Our officers and PCSOs are out and about today engaging with members of the community.
This morning our PCSOs attended Guisborough library to chat to residents about any issues or concerns they may have.

A 42-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs following a warrant on Redcar High Street.
A 37-year-old woman was arrested this morning on suspicion of drink driving and was brought into custody by officers.
A 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion on rape and currently remains in police custody.
Police dog Gus has been assisting officers with drug warrants this morning.

A 44-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a theft of a motor vehicle and vehicle interference while a 42-year-old man was also arrested on warrant.
Officers have made their tenth arrest as part of Operation Artemis!
A 47-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B and Class C drugs following a warrant on Fountain Street in Guisborough.
Our PCSOs visited the palace hub in Redcar today and visited staff at the Link. The Link in Redcar provides a variety of therapeutic services, activities, training and events to support children, young people and families who are facing challenges in relation to mental health.
Meanwhile, PCSO Coaker and PCSO Robinson attended Morrisons on Lord Street, Redcar from this afternoon with Trading Standards and Victim Care and Advice Service (VCAS) to provide advice and guidance to residents.
Our officers also attended Grangetown Library to engage with Councillor Adam Brook and members of the public as part of Operation Artemis today.

Our officers carried out rural crime patrols across the Redcar and Cleveland area today.
Redcar and Cleveland neighbourhood officers have thanked residents and partner agency colleagues as they achieved three house closure orders during the district’s Operation Artemis today.
Working with the community, Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council and housing providers Beyond and Accent Housing, the officers have spent recent weeks gathering evidence of repeated issues with crime and ASB at the properties.
