12095 Fixed Speed Cameras

I write in connection with your request for information dated 18^th July 2020 and received by this office on 20^th July 2020.  Below are the questions raised in your request and our response.

Which three fixed position speed cameras in your area were responsible for (i) the issuing of the most fixed penalty notices to suspected speeders and (ii) were activated the most time by speeding vehicles in the combined three year period of 2017, 2018 and 2019?

By this I mean which three cameras were the busiest across the entire three-year period rather than which three were busiest in each year. Hence the response should be just three camera sites and no more.

Please provide me with the position of each of the three cameras and the number of FPNs issued as a result of it “catching” suspected speeders in that three-year period as well as the number of activations logged at that site.

NOTE: Please include average speed cameras for this analysis where the cameras have remained in the same position.

1. a) Cleveland Police do not have any operational Fixed Speed Cameras however we currently have an average speed camera on the A19 at the roadwork’s, which will be there for about a year. These roadwork have only very recently started and we have not, as at the date of your request, processed data from these cameras so our response on this occasion is no information held.
