I write in connection with your request for information dated 7th May 2020 and received by this office on that date. Below are the questions raised in your request and our response.
- Number of police officers divided by rank (Chief Officer, Inspector, Sergeant, Constable, etc.) per solar year.
- a) We have looked at the content of question 1 of your request and must advise you that we consider the information is exempt under Section 21 of the Freedom of information Act 2000 (Information Accessible by other means. This exemption is a class based, absolute exemption and there is no requirement for us to consider prejudice or a public interest.
If you visit the Cleveland Police website, www.gov.uk and on select Police Workforce England and Wales 31st March 2019 second edition and then Police Workforce Open Data Table on the page that opens you will find and excel table that provides all of the data the is available from 2007, 12 years data.
- Total expenditure on policing per solar year.
- a) Please see below this information is held in Financial Years. The annual cost included the following basis pay, overtime, national insurance, pension, allowances, rent, comp grant and training.
