I write in connection with your request for information dated 23rd June 2020 and received by this office on that date. We have made enquiries with the Central Ticket Office and below are the questions raised in your request and our response.
The information is provided based on the links provided in your request however we are unable to provide information relative only to Middlesbrough as whilst the location is recorded it may just say “York Road” which can be found in more than one of the four Cleveland Police districts.
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request data regarding the number of motorists issued Fixed Penalty Notices for vehicle modifications that are in violation of The Road Vehicles legislation. - Can I please receive each total individually for the time period of 01/04/2019 - 31/03/2020 - Could this be specific to those recorded within the boundaries of Middlesbrough Can I please receive a total count of FPNs issued to motorists for driving vehicles that violate the following regulations:
1) Exhausts - The Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986, Regulation 54 http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1986/1078/regulation/54/made
2) Lights - The Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989, Regulation 11 http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/1989/1796/regulation/11/made
3) License Plate - The Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations 2001, Regulations 5 & 6 http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2001/561/contents
