I write in connection with your request for information dated 1st July 2020 and received by this office on that date. Below are the questions raised in your request and our response.
I would appreciate your help with the following queries:
- How many disability hate crimes have been recorded by your police force for the last two financial years –2018/19 and 2019/20?

- How many disability hate crimes during each financial year (2018/19 and 2019/20) concerned acts of violence against a person?

- How many incidents of disability hate crime were recorded as taking place online in each financial year (2018/19 and 2019/20)?

- How many of the recorded disability hate crimes in each financial year (2018/19 and 2019/20) resulted in a charging decision?

- ) Whilst it the duty of Cleveland Police to identify, apprehend suspects, decisions regarding prosecutions is the responsibility of the Crown Prosecution Service and Convictions is that of HM Courts Service.

- a) Whilst it the duty of Cleveland Police to identify, apprehend suspects, decisions regarding prosecutions is the responsibility of the Crown Prosecution Service and Convictions is that of HM Courts Service.
