I write in connection with regards to your Freedom of Information request. Below is the full response.
- Please can you tell me how many deaths occurred involving drugs in the Cleveland Police force area in the following time periods:
- a) The below figures show the number of sudden deaths code (PS25) with a “DRG” marked on the record.
January - December 2021 - 25

- Please can you tell me the number of hate crimes reported to Cleveland Police in the following time periods.

Can you please, if possible, then breakdown the hate crimes into the following categories:

- a) The analyst has provided below the number of hate crimes across all hate crime categories within the dates provided. For the information specifically for Antisemitism they have provided a separate table.

- I would like to request information under the Freedom of Information Act regarding the amount of time taken to answer phone calls to the police service.
If possible, please could you provide the following for the year 2024 to date, broken down by month:
Q1. What was the longest time it took for police call handlers to answer a 999 call to the police service (each month)?
- a) Longest wait time in minutes.

Q3. What is the minimum number of call handlers you would normally have on shift, and how many times was this breached? (i.e. the number of call handlers working fell below the minimum staffing requirement)
- a) We do not have a minimum defined staffing level however normally we operate with 10-12 call handlers.
Please note that all statistical data supplied in relation to Freedom of Information requests is a snapshot of data held at the time the request was received by the Freedom of Information office and is subject to constant change/updates.
The Cleveland Police response to your request is unique and it should be noted that Police Forces do not use generic systems or identical procedures to capture and record data therefore responses from Cleveland Police should not be used as a comparison with any other force response you receive.
If you are not satisfied with this response or any actions taken in dealing with your request, you have the right to request an independent internal review of your case under our review procedure. The Freedom of Information Code of Practice (see below link) states that a request for internal review should be made within 20 working days of the date on this response or 40 working days if extenuating circumstances to account for the delay can be evidenced. Public authorities are not obliged to accept internal reviews after this date.
