I write in connection with regards to your Freedom of Information request. Below is your request and our response.
Between January 2020 and January 2024, the number of reports of tools being stolen from vehicles.
Between January 2020 and January 2024, the number of reports of tools being stolen from residential properties.
Between January 2020 and January 2024, the number of reports of tools being stolen from construction sites.
Please can I request this data to be broken down by year. I.e number of reports in 2020, 2021, 2022, etc.

Having made enquiries within the Force the below data is all the information we hold.

Please note this data includes all that had a property name containing the word tool. This includes any items under the machinery or tools category and ladders. Dwellings for residential properties will include garages. Both building sites and construction sites have been included.
Please be aware that some crimes do not have a location description recorded and therefore can not be included.
