FOI 175-24 Shoplifting Offences

I write in connection with regards to your Freedom of Information request, Below is your request and our response.
I would like to know about the total number of shoplifting offences occurring at supermarkets/hypermarkets/grocers for the calendar years of 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Of this information, I would also like to know how many times shoplifting offences include any of these keywords in CRIS logs: nappies, baby formula, and/or butter.
Please could the information be provided in either an Excel sheet or PDF format, with information broken down by year (i.e. columns of a table) and by the presence of each keyword given above (i.e. rows of a table).
The below table shows the total number of shoplifting crimes, based on crime code 46 – shoplifting. There is a row that only includes shoplifting crimes when the MO location description includes ‘shop’ as its not always noted as ‘supermarket’. The remainder is a breakdown of the requested keywords and if each one features in the Mo comments, then this is counted. Note that on the keyword search this filters where the MO location description includes shop and not shoplifting crime overall.
