FOI 235-24 Corrosive Substance Incidents

I write in connection with regards to your Freedom of Information request, Below is your request and our response.
My request concerns police-recorded offences involving a corrosive substance.
Could you please send me the following information:
1) The number of violence against the person offences involving a corrosive substance that were recorded in each month in 2021, 2022 and 2023, plus January 2024 if available
2) The number of robbery offences involving a corrosive substance that were recorded in each month in 2021, 2022 and 2023, plus January 2024 if available
We have searched for crimes using the definition of a corrosive substance used for our ADRs to the Home Office.
I checked each crime and removed any that were threats or those where there was no evidence a corrosive substance was used. For instance those that said ‘suspected’ corrosive substance were removed.
After those that were removed the volumes and crime types below were left.
