Can you please provide the following information for your Police
Authority;
(1) The number of crimes recorded as 'Domestic Abuse' broken down by the
Gender of the Victim.
The below table included the volume of domestic abuse related crimes by the gender of the victim recorded.

The below table includes Incidents recorded which did not go on to be crimed by the gender reported. This table only includes those with a gender recorded.
To note if the caller has asked for advice or it’s an admin call then it may not have a person or gender recorded.

We understand that gender may be recorded on your systems as Male,
Female or Unknown/Other, and that level of information is fine.
If you can only provide one answer because of your collection method,
then that this is acceptable however can you please confirm if you are
providing crimes or incidents.
This request is to cover the period from 1st April 2023 to 31st March
2024
Please note that all statistical data supplied in relation to Freedom of Information requests is a snapshot of data held at the time the request was received by the Freedom of Information office and is subject to constant change/updates.
The Cleveland Police response to your request is unique and it should be noted that Police Forces do not use generic systems or identical procedures to capture and record data therefore responses from Cleveland Police should not be used as a comparison with any other force response you receive.
If you are not satisfied with this response or any actions taken in dealing with your request, you have the right to request an independent internal review of your case under our review procedure.
