I write in connection with regards to your Freedom of Information request. Below is your request and our response.
Freedom of Information Act Request: conditions imposed, and arrests made under, section 12 and section 14 Public Order Act 1986 since 21 May 2024.
We write to you under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (“FOIA”) to request information.
This request relates to the Cleveland Police's use of powers under section 12 and section 14 of the Public Order Act 1986 (s.12 and s.14 POA) in respect of protests since 21 May 2024.
Therefore, please provide the following information:
Having made enquiries within the Force our response is no information held, we have not imposed any conditions under Section 12 or 14 of the Public Order Act.
If you are not satisfied with this response or any actions taken in dealing with your request, you have the right to request an independent internal review of your case under our review procedure. The Freedom of Information Code of Practice (see below link) states that a request for internal review should be made within 20 working days of the date on this response or 40 working days if extenuating circumstances to account for the delay can be evidenced. Public authorities are not obliged to accept internal reviews after this date.
