FOI 913/24 Incidents with Aesthetics

I write in connection with regards to your Freedom of Information request.  Below is your request and our response.

This is a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. My request relates to the number of reports to your force regarding businesses practicing and offering aesthetic treatments.

For avoidance of doubt, we are defining these businesses as anything that includes 'aesthetics' in the name:

ITV News would like to request the following information:

1. In the last 4 years, how many times have your police force been contacted with a report about a business offering aesthetic treatments – e.g. botox, fillers, non surgical Brazilian butt lifts?

Please break down the data as follows:

1. 1st January 2021 – 31st December 2021
2. 1st January 2022 – 31st December 2022
3. 1st January 2023 – 31st December 2023
4. 1st January 2024 – 17th September 2024

1. For each year, how many of those incidents reported injury related to treatments being offered?

 Please break down the data as follows:

1. 1st January 2021 – 31st December 2021
2. 1st January 2022 – 31st December 2022
3. 1st January 2023 – 31st December 2023
4. 1st January 2024 – 17th September 2024

If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to cost of compliance limits, please let me know how I can refine my request.
