I write in connection with regards to your Freedom of Information request firstly please accept my apology for the delay. Below is your request and our response.
I request under the Freedom of Information Act the following from the start of 2020 until present:
- The number of Cannabis Farms/Factories discovered in your force area
- A cannabis farm I’m defining as a place where over 25 plants are being grown
Answer
Having made enquires within the Force we have searched for the volume of crimes recorded under 092/21 - Production or being concerned in production of controlled drug – cannabis which were validated between 1st January 2020 and 1st March 2025.

Without reading and recording what is written in each MO we couldn’t say if it were 25+ plants grown.
- The number of arrests made
- The nationalities of those arrested.
