A list of crimes and offences recorded over the past five years (2018–2023 inclusive) that are associated with or contain the word "Hindu" in relation to any of the following:
The nature of the crime/offence or its stated or supposed motive/reason
The identity or motivation of the perpetrator
The identification of the victim

2020 – 3
2022 – 13
2023 - 20
For each relevant case, please include:
The category/type of crime or offence
A brief description of the nature of the incident
The location (general area, such as city/town)
The number of individuals involved (both perpetrators and victims)
The outcome of the case (e.g., charge, conviction, ongoing investigation)
If data covering five years is not feasible, please provide information for the past three years 01.01.2020 to 31.12.2024.

The Cleveland Police response to your request is unique and it should be noted that Police Forces do not use generic systems or identical procedures to capture and record data therefore responses from Cleveland Police should not be used as a comparison with any other force response you receive.
If you are not satisfied with this response or any actions taken in dealing with your request, you have the right to request an independent internal review of your case under our review procedure. The Freedom of Information Code of Practice (see below link) states that a request for internal review should be made within 20 working days of the date on this response or 40 working days if extenuating circumstances to account for the delay can be evidenced.
