Enquiry Reference FOI: 24-25
I write in connection with regards to your Freedom of Information request. Below is your request and our response.
I’m looking for information on the reported number of stolen mobile phones in Cleveland from the following dates:
- Between 1st October 2024 to 31st December 2024
Here are my following questions:
- How many mobile phones were reported stolen during the time frame?
- Which areas had the most reports of the stolen mobile phones and how many within the time frame?
Please can the data be shared for each month as requested, in an itemised spreadsheet.
The analyst has provided a breakdown of the volume of mobile phones reported stolen in Cleveland. This covers the requested crime reported period and is based on a keyword search of ‘Mobile phone’ and ‘Smartphone’ in the Property common name field. Moreover, this is any property which has been ‘stolen’ and where the crime type is Theft and handling stolen goods. Note that this is not 174 crimes but rather the number of phones stolen (Possibility of multiple phones on 1 crime).
