I write in connection with regards to your Freedom of Information request. Below is your request and our response.

Q1. Can you please provide the total number of reported road incidents and collisions where
poor eyesight was recorded as a contributing factor?

Answer

Having made enquiries within the Force there were 2 collisions with this factor in these years, 1 in 2023 and 1 in 2024

Q2. Can you please provide a breakdown of these incidents by severity (eg: fatal, serious,
and slight collisions)?

Answer

2023 = 1 serious collision

2024 = 1 slight collision

Q3. Can you please provide a demographic breakdown of the drivers involved by age,
gender, and region/city/post code

Answer

Below is all the information we can disclose.

2023 = 75 year old male in Stockton-on-Tees

2024 = 82 year old male in Redcar and Cleveland
