Dear Cleveland Police FOI Team,
I am writing to request information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. I am specifically interested in data related to offences involving cyclists under Operation Snap and or via the National Dash Cam Safety Portal. If available, I would like to request the following:
The number of reports submitted where cyclists are The offenders, dangerous cycling, careless cycling.
The victims, close passing, collisions.
The outcomes of these reports, including No Further Action.
Driver Education Course.
Fixed Penalty Notice.
Summons to Court.
Any records on how such offences are categorized in your systems general traffic offences, distinct cycling-related offences.
The time period for which this data is available, and whether it is broken down by year.
Answer
Having made enquiries within the Force Cleveland Police do not do Operation Snap. No Information Held.
If you are not satisfied with this response or any actions taken in dealing with your request, you have the right to request an independent internal review of your case under our review procedure. The Freedom of Information Code of Practice (see below link) states that a request for internal review should be made within 20 working days of the date on this response or 40 working days if extenuating circumstances to account for the delay can be evidenced. Public authorities are not obliged to accept internal reviews after this date.
