I write in connection with regards to your Freedom of Information request. Below is your request and our response.
I am writing to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 regarding incidents of defibrillator theft within the jurisdiction of Cleveland Police.
Please could you provide the following information for each calendar year from March 28 2023 to the present:
- The number of reported cases of defibrillator theft.
- The number of defibrillators stolen in these incidents (if available).
- Any relevant statistics on arrests, charges, or convictions related to these thefts (if available).
If it is possible to break this data down by district, area, or location within your jurisdiction, that would be appreciated.
If this request is too broad or difficult to process in one go, I would be grateful if you could narrow the scope to a specific time frame or region that might be more feasible.
Answer
Having made enquiries within the Force the answer to the above is Nil.
Please note that all statistical data supplied in relation to Freedom of Information requests is a snapshot of data held at the time the request was received by the Freedom of Information office and is subject to constant change/updates.

The Freedom of Information Code of Practice (see below link) states that a request for internal review should be made within 20 working days of the date on this response or 40 working days if extenuating circumstances to account for the delay can be evidenced. Public authorities are not obliged to accept internal reviews after this date.
