I write in connection with regards to your Freedom of Information request. Below is your request and our response.
- How many children under the age of 10 have been suspected of crimes investigated by Cleveland Police from January 1, 2021, to the current date.
a) The number of suspects where the age was recorded as under 10 at the time of the report is 1086 from 01/01/2021 – 28/02/2025.
- For each suspected crime, please list the age of the suspect, the year it was reported, and the nature of the crime. ie. burglary, arson, etc. Where possible, please also specify the general area, ie: Redcar, Middlesbrough, Stockton.

The Freedom of Information Code of Practice (see below link) states that a request for internal review should be made within 20 working days of the date on this response or 40 working days if extenuating circumstances to account for the delay can be evidenced.
