I write in connection with regards to your Freedom of Information request. Below is your request and our response.
I’m writing to you under the Freedom of Information Act to request the following data:
- The number of race hate crimes recorded by the force in 2022, 2023, 2024 and the first two months of 2025.
Can the information be categorised by month and the ethnic group of the victims please.

The below table shows the number of race hate crimes recorded between 01/01/2022 and 28/02/2025 broken down by month and the self-defined ethnicity group of the victim:
