I write in connection with regards to your Freedom of Information request. Below are your questions and our response.
I would like to request the following information under the Freedom of Information Act. Please could you provide me with details on the following data surrounding upskirting, under the Voyeurism (Offences) Act 2019:
- How many incidents of upskirting were reported to your police force in each of the years 2019-2025, broken down by calendar year 2. How many incidents resulted in an arrest and/or charge? 3. Can you provide data on the approximate age of the victim at the time of the offence (20s, 30s, 40s etc) in each of the years 2019 - 2025?
- a) The below table shows the number of records whereby the crime code 088/12 Upskirting appears between 01/01/2019 – 31/12/2025. The table includes the outcome and age ranges of the victims, please note however that the crime code was only introduced in 2020 therefore the figures are from that date:

The Freedom of Information Code of Practice (see below link) states that a request for internal review should be made within 20 working days of the date on this response or 40 working days if extenuating circumstances to account for the delay can be evidenced. Public authorities are not obliged to accept internal reviews after this date.
