Shortly after 1.30pm on Thursday 9 April police were called to Hardale Drive following concerns for a child.
The man who sadly died in a single vehicle collision at the junction of Elizabeth Way and Tees Road in Hartlepool, in the early hours of Tuesday 7 April, has been named as 44-year-old Duane Michael Birdsall.
Whilst Hartlepool Proactive Team were carrying out arrest attempts in connection with a serious assault in Hartlepool, they recovered a large quantity of suspected cocaine believed to be worth over £8,000.
Officers are appealing after reported suspicious activity in the Burn Valley area of Hartelpool, where there were reports of people trying car door handles to identify vehicles that were left unlocked.
Officers are appealing for information and anyone with any relevant dash cam footage following a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.
