Police are appealing for witnesses after a collision on Tees Road in Hartlepool yesterday evening, Wednesday 20th May.
The collision happened just before 8pm involving a black Skoda Fabia and a black BMW 4 series 420D.
A 72-year-old man driving the Skoda suffered a number of broken ribs and was taken to the University Hospital of North Tees.
A passenger in the same vehicle suffered bruising.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who may have dash cam footage of the incident or anyone who may have witnessed the BMW prior to the collision.
Witnesses and anyone with information are asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 095973.
