Suspected Stolen Mercedes Van Seized Resulting in Two Arrests in Thornaby

During the early hours of this morning (31^st July 2023) a suspected stolen Mercedes Sprinter Van was sighted by an unmarked police vehicle on Thornaby Road in Thornaby.

The Road Policing Officer in the unmarked vehicle followed the van to Cunningham Drive and called for assistance from colleagues.

Officers seized the van and arrested the driver and passenger of the vehicle and they both remain in custody.

The van had reportedly stolen from a property in Thornaby. The victim has been updated regarding their stolen vehicle.
