Officers are appealing to trace a woman as they are concerned for her welfare following a report of a woman believed to be in distress.
It is reported that a woman was dropped off on Mitchell Avenue by a purple or brown coloured car driven by a male, and that the woman was believed to be in a distressed state, around 3:55am this morning, Saturday 10th June, on Mitchell Avenue in Thornaby.
Police would like to speak with the woman to ensure that she is safe and well.
The woman is described as a white female, with long, blonde hair and wearing a white dress.
The woman herself is asked to contact police on 101, or any other witnesses or anyone with information which could identify her, are also asked to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 111719.
