A 36-year-old man suffered a head injury after an incident involving a vehicle around 10:15pm on Saturday 21st October.
The incident is believed to have started at The Swan Pub, Billingham, before the man suffered injuries when he was hit by a vehicle near to the Jet Garage, on Wolviston Road.
The man remains at James Cook University Hospital whilst receiving treatment. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault and has been bailed whilst enquiries continue.
