A black VW Golf was reported as being abandoned in Haswell Avenue with significant damage to the front and rear and the keys still in the ignition. Officers arrived and the vehicle was seized for having no insurance.
A white BMW 3 series was reported as an abandoned vehicle in a residential permit area of Warren Court in the town shortly before midday on Saturday 18th November. The vehicle was seized after officers arrived and checks showed that this vehicle had no insurance.
Then just after 7pm on Tuesday 21st November, officers stopped a red Nissan Micra Essenza convertible at the junction of Elm Grove and Wooller Road. A 78-year-old man was reported for summons for permitting the vehicle to be driven without insurance or a licence, and a 39-year-old woman was reported for summons for driving without a licence or insurance.
The car was then seized for having no insurance.
PCSO Mark Say, of Hartlepool Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “Please check to ensure that your car has an up-to-date insurance policy. If your car has no insurance, it will be seized.”
