The 27-year-old man was arrested and subsequently charged with three burglaries, three attempted burglaries and being in possibly of heroin.
He was remanded in custody and appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court on Saturday 20 April.
The charges relate to reports of a man trying door handles in the Hatfield Road area of Billingham on Thursday 18 April.
