Officers from Stockton’s Community Action Team (CAT) arrested a teenager after conducting high-visibility proactive patrols in the Tilery estate of Stockton.
Following recent information and intelligence of drug dealing activity in the area, officers were deployed to the scene to carry out patrols.
They carried out a stop search of a 17-year-old male and seized a knife along with a large quantity of what is believed to be Class A drugs.
The 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possessing a bladed article in a public place and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. He was bailed pending further enquiries.
