Middlesbrough officers are overwhelmed by the support from people of Boro following the events in the town yesterday.
Members of the public have been dropping into the station all day with gifts of tea, biscuits, homemade cakes, sweets, cards and beautiful pictures to express their gratitude to officers.
Among the many wonderful and much appreciated gifts received today were homemade scones and millionaire cake, brought in by 5-year-old Oliver Jones, and a wonderful picture drawn by Ayla and Kaden Hanif, who also brought in a box of Heroes for their heroes!

Community Nurse Emma Stokes dropped in with a selection of gifts and provisions to get the officers through their shift, following a collection by Middlesbrough Community Nurses.

Last night, local businesses and members of the public stepped in to help officers with bottles of water and food to ensure that our officers managed to get something to eat.
As officers carried out patrols today, they were stopped many times by people who wanted to thank them and offer support.
The community spirit, positivity and support has been amazing! Thank you!
