Cleveland Police is appealing for information and any relevant CCTV footage after a 13-year-old girl was injured by an air gun or BB gun in Middlesbrough.
The incident occurred on Sunday 24th March at around 5pm as the girl walked along a path at Ormesby Beck between the “blue bridge” and Overdale Road estate in Middlesbrough.
The girl suffered an injury to her head and she was taken to James Cook University Hospital for treatment where her injuries were not deemed to be life-threatening.
Two males are believed to have been in the grassed area behind a low bush close to the path where the girl was at the time of the incident.
One is described as wearing a cap and dressed in black and the other was wearing a blue coat.
Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone who may have information or anyone who may have witnessed the incident, is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting incident number 53617.
