Officers from the Matrix Team arrested a man for a string of offences after a vehicle reportedly failed to stop in Hartlepool.
At around 12.35am this morning (Friday 22nd November), a green Corsa reportedly failed to stop for police and a short pursuit took place.
The vehicle collided with a road sign on West View Road and the 40-year-old driver was arrested by a Roads Policing officer.
Checks found the vehicle was reported stolen in burglary earlier in the evening and suspected stolen property was also located.
He was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop, resisting arrest, no licence, no insurance, drink driving, drug driving and possession of a Class C drug and he remains in police custody.
