Around 9:30am today, Wednesday 30th October, police received a report that a heavy goods vehicle had tipped onto its side on the A689 at Stockton Road/Owton Manor Lane.
A road closure was put in place westbound between Brenda Road and Seaton Lane whilst the road was cleared by council colleagues.
The driver, a 23-year-old man, was taken to hospital for treatment for a minor injury to his arm.
A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs. He remains in police custody at this time.
