Matrix officers arrested two people after a suspected stolen vehicle was stopped on the A1027 slip road off the A19.
The vehicle was stopped shortly before 9am this morning (27th September) by Matrix officers with the help of Durham Constabulary.
Following enquiries conducted by officers, the vehicle was found to have been reported stolen from the Northumbria Police area.
A 34-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and she was bailed pending further enquiries.
A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and he was bailed pending further enquiries.
