Police are offering crime prevention advice and raising awareness after a number of reports of burglaries at empty properties which are undergoing renovations in Middlesbrough.
A number of these properties have been targeted for kitchen and bathroom facilities and boilers.
Over the last few weeks there have been a number of reports, particularly in the Middlesbrough town centre area.
Officers would like to advise people to remember to keep their properties secure, with more crime prevention available on the Cleveland Police website here: https://www.cleveland.police.uk/cp/crime-prevention/
Enquiries are ongoing in relation to these incidents but anyone who believes they see anyone acting suspiciously should contact Cleveland Police on 101. Always call 999 in an emergency.
