Detectives from Redcar & Cleveland CID are appealing for information and footage as they continue enquiries into a robbery in which a woman reported being assaulted and threatened with a weapon before she had money and a phone stolen from her.
The woman, in her early 30s, was on Vaughan Street near the junction of Railway Terrace in North Skelton at 17.13pm on Sunday 30th March in a red Audi A3 she was test driving when the attack took place.
The man then reportedly drove away in the vehicle.
The woman was left extremely shaken, with injuries to her head, body and legs.
The Audi was later seen by officers on Ormesby Road North where it reportedly failed to stop for police.
It was soon discovered at the rear of Easson Street, and it was recovered as part of ongoing enquiries.
Two men, 29 and 31, were arrested and questioned in connection with the report and they have been bailed whist enquiries continue.
Officers know there were several vehicles driving past the scene at the time, and they would ask anyone with dashcam of the incident as well as anyone else with information to come forward.
