A 45-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with a serious assault at 22:40pm on Monday 5th May, on Yarm Lane in Stockton.
He was taken to police custody where he will be questioned.
The 41-year-old victim sustained multiple stab wounds and was taken to hospital by ambulance. His injuries are not life-threatening.
