This car’s been seized after officers on patrol in Thornaby at the weekend spotted a driver with no seatbelt on.
On turning the police vehicle around on Harvard Avenue to speak with the driver, the car made off at speed and turned into a car park, where the driver parked in a distant corner then attempted to make off.
It was quickly discovered the 24-year-old man had no driving licence or insurance therefore the car was seized, and he was reported for driving with no licence or insurance and for not wearing a seatbelt.
We work every day to keep our roads safe for all users by seizing vehicles which are being used illegally, dangerously or antisocially.
