Officers are appealing for information and any witnesses following a suspicious incident in Middlesbrough town centre.
The incident happened earlier today (Monday 10th February) at around 12.05pm near Parliament Road, Middlesbrough.
A woman reported that a man approached her and asked whether they could be friends before following the woman as she started walking home.
Between 12.20pm and 12.30pm the woman has then encountered the man again in the area of Tennyson Street and Parliament Road.
The suspect is described as a black male who was 6 foot tall and in his early 20s with black short hair. He was described as wearing dark clothing and silver trainers.
A similar incident was reported on Wednesday 15th January at around 5.05pm around Teesside University’s campus.
Both Neighbourhood and Response officers are conducting visible patrols in the area.
Officers are urging anyone with information or any relevant CCTV footage to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 024149.
