Three people have been arrested in the Thornaby area this morning (Thursday 6th February) after Matrix Disruption Team officers seized thousands of pounds worth of suspected cocaine at an address.
Officers went to a property on Shetland Avenue where suspected cocaine believed to be worth around £4,500 was seized.
Two women aged 19 and 43 and a man aged 48 were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.
Enquiries are ongoing and all three remain in police custody.
Matrix Disruption Team officers will continue to remove suspected drugs from the streets and tackle organised criminals.
