Three men have been arrested by Redcar CID in connection with a large-scale cannabis farm which was discovered in Marske-by-Sea on 20th January.
Officers from Redcar & East Cleveland Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) supported by Matrix colleagues, forced entry into a large disused unit on Longbeck Trading Estate in Marske.
Thousands of plants were recovered, spread across several growing areas, with an estimated street value of two and a half million pounds.
A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the production of Class B drugs whilst a 36-year-old man and a 32-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs.
They have all been conditionally bailed pending further enquiries.
