Detectives from Hartlepool CID have charged a 31-year-old man with aggravated burglary after an incident in Ivy Grove in June.
The householder reported disturbing an unknown man in his address and being attacked with a knife, resulting in treatment in hospital.
Following the man’s arrest he was interviewed, charged and remanded into custody until his court appearance today, Friday 4th July.
In another CID investigation, a 32-year-old man was charged with wounding with intent after an incident in May when a bottle was used to attack another man on Gloucester Street in the town.
The victim suffered serious head injuries and deep lacerations which required medical attention.
After being charged, the 32-year-old was remanded into custody until his appearance at Teesside Magistrates’ Court today, Friday 4th July.
