Officers are appealing for information and any relevant CCTV footage after a woman was seriously injured during an assault in Stockton.
The incident occurred at around midnight on Wednesday 14th May 2025 in the Bishopton Road area of Stockton.
An altercation has occurred between the 79-year-old victim’s son and two other men after they heard shouting outside the property.
The victim was hit with a baseball bat during the incident causing significant injuries to her eye. She sustained three fractures to her eye socket which requires continuous treatment.
A 24-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and grievous bodily harm with intent. He has been bailed with conditions pending further enquiries.
Extensive enquires have already been carried out including reviewing CCTV footage but officers are appealing for any further footage or any witnesses who haven’t yet spoke to police to come forward.
