A man has been arrested after two burglaries and an attempted robbery in Saltburn were reported on the evening of Saturday 7th June.
The first incident occurred on Milton Street, where is was reported that a man entered an address and demanded the occupant’s car keys, before making his way towards Milton Street, Marine Parade and Hilda Place before approaching a woman and demanding she hand over her car keys.
The suspect made off from the scene after members of the public rushed to the victim’s aid.
A 38-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of two counts of burglary and robbery. He remains in custody at this time.
