Whilst on patrol this evening, our Matrix officers came across a dirt bike that was reportedly being ridden in a dangerous manner.
The bike was seen coming onto Thornaby Industrial Estate and failed to stop for our officers, riding off into a forest area.
Following a short pursuit, the two males on the bike abandoned the bike in the forest near the Fleet in Thornaby and made off on foot.
Officers soon apprehended both males and seized the bike. The 15-year-old rider will be dealt with for no licence, no insurance, failing to stop and dangerous driving.
Anyone with information regarding off-road bikes in their area, or where they are being stored, can contact police on the channels below.
