Police were called to a property on Dorset Road, Guisborough, around 8:40am on Wednesday 25th June, after concerns were raised for the welfare of a man.
The body of an elderly man was sadly found inside a property.
The death is currently being treated as unexplained, and a post-mortem is yet to take place to establish the cause of the man’s death.
The man is yet to be formally identified.
Our thoughts remain with the man’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time.
Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who may have information is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101, quoting reference number 116303.
