Detectives are appealing for witnesses and information after a 30-year-old man suffered serious head injuries in a reported assault in Middlesbrough town centre.
The alleged incident happened around 2:15am on Monday 10th March on Albert Road, when police received a report that a man had been punched outside Boro Bar.
A 30-year-old man remains in James Cook University Hospital with serious head injuries.
A 36-year-old man was arrested and later charged with wounding/inflicting grievous bodily harm without intent. He appeared at Teesside Magistrates Court today, Tuesday 11th March, and was remanded in custody until a further appearance at Teesside Crown Court on Friday 11th April.
