A police vehicle was involved in a collision with a silver Mercedes GLC on Kirkleatham Lane at around 10pm on Sunday 1st June.
The police van was on route to an emergency with blue lights and sirens, when it collided with the Mercedes at the junction with Staintondale Avenue.
A ten-year-old child travelling in the Mercedes suffered a nosebleed following the incident but was otherwise unhurt. The driver and another child in the car were also unhurt.
The police officer was checked over by paramedics at the scene and taken to hospital for checks. He was not seriously injured and suffered bruising.
