The 12-year-old was arrested on the morning of Friday 24 October.
He was taken to police custody to be questioned on suspicion of violent disorder and criminal damage and has since been released on conditional bail.
His arrest relates to a racially aggravated attack on a family home on Birchington Avenue on the evening of Thursday 16 October.
A group of youths threw stones and fireworks at the house and then proceeded to attack police and damage a vehicle upon their arrival.
A 16-year-old boy who was arrested on Saturday 18 October has been released on conditional bail.
As part of the investigation, officers are encouraging members of the community to come forward with footage and information.
They are keen to hear from anyone, in particular young people, who may know who is responsible.
